SAHRR finished
Mine is a "summer quilt" because it is the top and backing with no batting. This will be a lighter weight to wear with the summer weather coming up. It is totally quilted. A wearable quilt. The buttons are vintage. I inherited them years ago from my husbands grandmother.
And here are two pictures before it was assembled:

It's beautiful. How clever is that!

DeleteOh my gosh it's beautiful! So unique. I love the embroidered blocks that go so wonderfully with the fabric, those special buttons, and are those little yo-yos? You will be pestered to pieces when you wear it - everyone will love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I will have fun wearing it places when I don't have to wear a coat over it.
DeleteWhat a fun take on the SAHRR! Never thought to make a wearable SAHRR. Enjoy wearing your shirt and hearing all the nice compliments about it.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I am excited about it.
DeleteI think you have successfully solved the problem of trying to wear "quilts" or quilted garments in the summer. Since we have a long and hot summer, your example is a great idea of something those of us in hot climates could make. I think this is terrific, and love how you used the SAHRR prompts to make a terrific blouse. Happy Wearing!!
