SAHRR round 1
At first I was reluctant to choose these orphan SBS blocks but now that I forced myself to give it a go I think I am seeing hope for them. I enjoyed round 1. I looked through a lot of my scrap collection(s) and I am going to pick fabrics that match the colors in the SBS print fabric. At first I though pastels would be best then I got ruthless! I'm saying that all these fabrics are tired of being stashed away.

What a pretty start! Your orphan blocks look like they've found a place to shine. Love the embroidery in the center too.

DeleteI love your "ruthlessness". Using scraps will bring all kinds of surprises to your SAHRR. Anxious to see your next step!

DeleteLooks good to me! How fun to be able to use orphan blocks, too!

DeleteYay!! Another Orphan Box quilter! I have one main box and two smaller boxes, and like you -- I want to use some of them up. I think using an embroidery for the center really sets the mood for what's coming, and it will great to see your "retired" blocks make their way into your quilt. Great job on Round One!
